How to write a garment title and description
A good clothing title names the garment, the material and the detail that sets it apart, in that order, with no promotional words and within the platform's limit (Mercado Libre 60 characters, eBay 80, Amazon around 200). The description opens with the size and real measurements, continues with fabric and fit, and closes with care instructions.
The title: garment, material, detail
Formula: garment type + material + distinguishing detail + size. "Chiffon dress with floral lace, size M" beats "Beautiful elegant women's dress". The first says what someone types into search; the second says adjectives nobody searches for. Put the buyer's words first: marketplace search engines weight the beginning of the title more heavily.
The words that penalize you
"Sale", "best", "free shipping", "promo", "clearance". Mercado Libre and Amazon penalize promotional language in the title and drop your ranking without telling you. You also waste characters: every empty word is a searched word you left out.
The description: sizing before poetry
With clothing, the first line has to answer the question that blocks the purchase: what size it is and what it actually measures. Total length, bust width, sleeve length, in centimeters. Then fabric and fit (fitted, loose, oversize), and finally care (hand wash, no dryer). That order cuts returns more than any adjective.
The bullets
Three to five, each a concrete fact rather than praise. "Fabric with drape, not see-through" is a bullet. "Premium quality" isn't: it says nothing verifiable and the buyer already read it on the other twenty listings.
The shortcut
PicSell Pro recognizes the garment in the photo and writes the title and description at the length and rules of the channel you pick. You can edit it before copying: the point is to remove the blank page, not to decide for you.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I put "sale" in the title?
Because Mercado Libre and Amazon penalize promotional language in titles and drop your ranking without notice. You also burn characters: that space pays far better spent on the material or the detail, which is what people actually type.
How many characters do I get for the title?
Mercado Libre allows 60, eBay 80 and Amazon around 200. Write for the shortest and expand upward, so the same title works across channels without getting cut in half.
Do I need measurements if I already gave the size?
Yes, and it's what prevents the most returns. A size M doesn't measure the same across two brands. Total length, bust and sleeve in centimeters answer the question that makes buyers leave the listing.
Does the AI write in native Spanish?
Yes. The copy comes out in the Spanish your buyer actually uses, not translated from English. You can edit it before publishing.
