PicSell Pro vs VModel
Updated on
Choose VModel if you list occasionally and irregularly, or if you shoot on a mannequin: it is credit-based, credits do not expire, and it turns mannequin photos into on-model images. Choose PicSell Pro if you list often — more than 30 garments a month — and photograph the garment on its own: it is a subscription, and its engine explicitly asks for no mannequin and no person in the input.
The most useful difference between these two is not in the features. It is in the photo you hand over. VModel is built to start from a garment mounted on a mannequin. PicSell Pro asks for the opposite, and not as a preference: we verified that an input with a mannequin or a person leaves the support visible in the output, so the product asks for the garment alone, on a hanger or on the bed. If you already shoot on a mannequin, that is a concrete reason to look at VModel first.
Point-by-point comparison
| Criterion | PicSell Pro | VModel |
|---|---|---|
| Expected input | The garment ALONE, no mannequin or person | Accepts mannequin photos |
| Main output | The same garment, studio photo | The garment on a generated model |
| Range of bodies, skin tones and poses | Limited | Yes, its strength |
| Works if you list rarely and irregularly | No, it is a subscription | Yes: credits that never expire |
| Works if you list 30+ garments a month | Yes, one monthly meter | Per-credit cost adds up |
| Colour fidelity verified automatically | Yes, a verdict per photo | Not stated |
| API and browser extension | No | Yes |
When to choose which
Choose VModel if you list in small bursts, if your rhythm is seasonal, or if you already work with a mannequin: paying per credit beats a subscription when you list irregularly, and credits that never expire make that clearer still. Choose PicSell Pro if you list often and photograph the garment alone with a phone: that is where a subscription pays for itself, and where colour verification is what saves you the return that costs you your rating.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't PicSell Pro accept mannequin photos?
Because we tested it and it does not work. With the garment on a hanger the result is right; with the garment on a mannequin or on a person, the support leaks into the final photo. Rather than pretend it makes no difference, the product asks for the garment alone and says so upfront.
I list 10 garments a month. Which one?
Probably VModel. Our ICP is people listing more than 30 garments a month: below that, a monthly subscription does not pay for itself and a credit model costs you less. We would rather say so than charge you for three months and lose you.
Does PicSell Pro have an API?
No. VModel does, and a browser extension too. If your workflow needs to integrate with another system, that is a concrete VModel advantage and we have nothing to answer it with today.
